Itinerary
Wednesday 12th July 2023:
We leave the UK for the short 90-minute flight direct to the Dordogne area of France. Our lovely small town of BERGERAC is a perfect base for a relaxing holiday in the sunshine. The 3 star HOTEL BORDEAUX is a delight, typically French with a small pool in the rear garden. There are many cafes, bistros and delightful restaurants a few minutes away.
Thursday 13th July 2023:
A chance to see the local Chateaux on our 3 hour excursion around the area. Wine tasting and some great scenery. And a perfect way to spend a hot, sunny day. We leave BERGERAC late afternoon for the 1 hour drive through the countryside to MARMANDE. This is such a brilliant night of world class racing on this massive track, which starts after 9.00 pm…and it’s party time all evening with our VIP tickets.
Friday 14th July 2023:
BASTILLE DAY
This is FRANCE’S INDEPENDENCE DAY and the town is busy with locals celebrating in a relaxed way. In the evening, there is a massive FIREWORKS display down on the river, and obviously there are so many places to enjoy a great meal and few glasses of local vino.
Saturday 15 July 2023:
We have much of the day free before heading off on a scenic drive to BORDEAUX and our series of flights back to the UK.
